Teen/Student Ministry
The student ministry at the Arvada Church of Christ is a ministry specifically geared for students in the 7th through 12th Grades. Our goal is to help every student, no matter where they are at, grow deeper in their walk with God through relationships with caring Christian adults and other Christian teens. Our passion is to see students take ownership of their own faith and grow close to Jesus before they become adults. We want to reach students at all levels of commitment, whether they’ve spent their whole life in church or this is their first time. We do this by providing opportunities for students at all levels. Opportunities such as small groups, Bible studies, special events, service projects, weekend retreats, mission trips, discipleship opportunities, and relationships with committed Christian adults.
We meet together Wednesday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM. Our Wednesday night program is fun and laid-back, featuring dinner together, worship, videos, music, games, small group discussions, prayer, and relevant teaching. We want this to be a place where all students have fun and feel loved and accepted.
Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM we have Junior-High and High-School classes where we dig into God’s Word together. We promise to offer students good spiritual “meat” out of the Bible that they can “chew” on and apply to their lives.
We also meet monthly on Sunday nights with other churches in the Denver Metro area, for a time of fun, fellowship and worship.
We offer numerous fun events throughout the year to encourage relationship building and an environment to invite friends who would normally not do "churchy" things. These include picnics at the park, Elitches outings, Rockies games, Guys/Girls Night Out, movies, concerts, hikes, and other recreational activities.
We also feature various retreats, camps, and mission trips throughout the year where students can focus for an extended period of time on deepening their relationship with Christ and living lives of worship and service back in their schools and communities.
