Small Groups
An Arvada Small Group is a small gathering of people who meet to study the Bible, encourage one another, and share their lives with each other.
What will happen at my Small Group?
Every week you will study the Bible, pray, and build relationships with the people in your Small Group. The leader will guide the discussion as you look at the Bible to discover what it says, what it means, and what it means to you personally. The group discussion will help you understand God's Word and give you the answers for living today. You will also benefit form listening to others share how God is working in their lives.
What will I study in my Small Group?
You will be challenged to look at the Bible and to apply its eternal teachings to your own life. Sometimes the discussion will be topical, focusing on current issues and needs; at other times you may look at the life and teachings of Jesus. The Arvada Small Group is not a lecture or a traditional Bible class -- it is a free-flowing discussion. All ideas and opinions are welcome but the Bible is the final authority.
How does my Small Group build relationships?
Arvada Small Groups provide a sense of belonging and community in a world where relationships are often superficial. You will find love, acceptance and support from your fellow Small Group members. Most groups eat together or have refreshments and social time either before or after the study. Many groups plan other social activities and outings together.
Who will lead my Small Group?
Your Small Group leaders are seekers of God's will, just like you. They have received special training, and their own experiences and understanding of the Bible make them excellent resources for encouragementr and prayer.
How often does my Small Group meet?
Arvada Small Groups meet weekly, usually on Sunday or Tuesday evenings. The dynamic of a small group works best when it is made a regular priority. The study and discussions usually last no longer than an hour.
Will my friends be welcome?
Absolutely. Everyone is encouraged to bring friends and family. Arvada Small Groups provide an excellent non-threatening atmosphere where the Bible can be discussed.
